Housatonic River at Addis Park

  1. (forgive me if this is a duplicate, I flinched when I tried to update the first time) I love this picture. It reminds me of the 'sfumato', the haze that you see hanging in the distance of a renaissance painting. Or maybe, from a different historical age, I can imagine Byron and the Shelley's lounging by the river. Now that I think about it, you really tapped into the great Connecticut painters like Metcalf. NO! Even better. This painting is like one of Fairfield Porter's! That's it! Cool. You ROCK!
